So it seems that time of the year is approaching at an excruciatingly rapid pace. A good portion, I'd say, of you know what I'm talking about, or would understand at some level.

For starters, one of our dear admins heads back tomorrow, to enjoy the cleaning supplies smell of the hallways and hang out with long missed friends - whereas I have two more weeks to wait to endure such conditions. Let's all hope she has a good one


Another thing, we have a new look to the journal - colorwise and top banner-wise... nothing drastic. Just felt like playing around a bit I am know to revamp a lot of things, mind you...

Speaking of revamping, and your two always faithful admins, we would like to offer all of you a chance to get in on two websites that we work on together. One of them, we are admins together, where another one we have a third admin to. One of them, the earlier mentioned, has to do with Harry Potter, while the later deals with writing.

Now we realize that we are all photomanipulators here, but we would like to offer the chance nonetheless. So feel free to take a look around and possibly join up. They're friendly communities!

Other than the advertising [har-har] we would like to let you all in on a new, little challenge we have for the club! I won't waste words describing it here, but down there. It will be at the very bottom of the journal so make sure to take a look! - I rather think you all will enjoy this!

_{by the way - if anyone was wondering, my burn has gone down and I've peeled away skin, but now my dry skin has cracked and I look like I'm made of fish scales. O_o;}

Here's the deal - we're still on the brink of a mass break out of users - only clocking in around 67! members. We would like our club to branch out and become larger, welcoming all walks of manipulators! So for that, we ask you to do this challenge with us.

How it works, is you ask your friends, or people you know on dA (that are photomanipulators!) to join up to the club and ask them when they send in their note to join, to let us know that you told them about the club! For every member you get to join up, you'll have a deviation displayed in a news article, featuring the artists of our club. You only get featured if you get others to join up!

For example, let's say I get Shelly to join up to our club, because she doesn't belong already. She sends in her note and it'd be like this:

Hi! I'd love to join your club, if that's alright By the way, my friend ~one-epidemic told me about this club - thanks!

We'll keep tabs of how many people say you referred them here, and after the deadline, September 12th, we'll submit a news article with the features. The person with the most features gets a prize basket!
